Meet your photographer!
Hello there!! I'm Julie!
I'll start off with telling you a bit about myself...it's always good to know a little about the person who you are entrusting to capture your memories!
The stuff relating to photography...
I began my business in 1997 after the birth of my 3rd baby.
I started off shooting weddings part-time along side my full-time job as a letter-carrier for Canada Post.
In 2005 I started shooting families, and then I ventured off into boudoir and newborns!
in 2010 my life took a big turn when I was divorced after 20 years. I then quit my job at Canada Post to pursue my photography business full-time.
(My photography business was getting busier and busier…and taking pictures was WAY more fun than delivering mail!)
In 2015 I met my new and amazing guy, named Guy...lol...we hit it off so well that we were married only a year later. (Never in a million years did I think I'd ever get married again)
I then moved in with him, 3km up the road into another house on the same street, so the address of my studio changed.
A little bit about me, personally…
- I am originally from Brampton Ontario. I moved to Sudbury so that we could live in a house on the water. I'd never move back, I love it here!
- I have 3 amazing children that are all grown up and moved out now. A girl and 2 boys.
- I worked for Canada Post as a letter-carrier for 24 years. I was even president of the union for the last couple years in Sudbury.
- We have a big ol' rottweiller/bull mastiff mixed pup that let's me know when somebody is in my waiting room - he might sound scary from upstairs but he is a big suck!
- I also have another business that I started up when Covid shut me down. It contrasts my photography quite a bit!! I sell spooky items, and gemstones.
- It's Halloween 24/7 at my house, and in my wardrobe!
- In 2017 I was re-married in Hell. Hell, Michigan that is!!
- I've been riding Harley Davidson motorcycles since 1991. I own my 4th one now. This one is a raked out chopper style custom bike.
- Within the last few years I have become somewhat of a farmer...we have about 50 chickens on our hobby farm!
- It's weird, but I always manage to catch birds.....I LOVE ravens, they're my fave!
